Venerable Gyalrong Khentrul Rinpoche

Gyalrong Khentrul Rinpoche took birth in 1978 at Dalhousie, a small hill town located a day’s drive from Dharamsala, and received schooling there up to third class. He was then recognised as a reincarnation of an ex-abbot of Drepung Loseling monastery by H.H. the Dalai Lama and joined Drepung monastery in 1986.

His immediate family consists of his parents, maternal grandmother, and younger brother and sister. At present he is engaged in the Geshe Lharampa course which runs for six years with six annual examination.
