Geshe-la and Lola

Lola says she is Geshe-la's sister from a previous life. She certainly makes every effort to look after him, being very determined and having a heart of gold.

Sam and Mark

These two residents of the bungalow in the grounds of the Lam Rim Buddhist Centre have been here for 10 months. They really are the energy behind the ongoing spiritual programme here. They lead the evening meditations on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Tara Puja on Sundays. They help the Centre in many other ways apart from the programme, presenting a warm welcome to all visitors.

And this little fella is a 'Park Town Prawn'. (It's a 'she' actually. The male is bigger with a dummy sting at the back.) This is a dead one, found in the shrine room facing the shrine with the mandibles clasped together in prostration.
They are harmless, but they frighten people because they hide in dark places such as shoes and can jump. If cornered, they can squirt a foul-smelling black liquid.
This one's antennas got a bit mangled when swept up, giving the impression that it's a balding Rastafarian!
