Deb qualified in 2003 from College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, one of the few establishments that teaches Five Element and TCM acupuncture.

Deb enjoys working with teenagers to elders with a wide ranging complaints, including : Digestive problems ; Sleep Issues, ME, tiredness ;  Urinary problems :  Back ache and sciaticia ; Headaches;  Hayfever and Asthma; Sinusitis ;  Arthritis  and more.

Deb has completed acupuncture postgraduate studies in Mental Health, and Mens Health, and  is currently doing further training in Acupuncture and Ageing. She set up an ear acupuncture clinic for The Big Issue vendors to help with addiction issues.

She is a member of her professional body, the British Acupuncture Council.

Deb works successfully with women  and men  who are trying to conceive naturally,  and with those using assisted fertility treatments  ( IUI, IVF, ICSI, GIFT ).  Once women are pregnant, she can continue to treat them  for a variety of  reasons, such as : prevention of  miscarriage ,  morning sickness , backache, oedema, urinary problems and constipation.  Keeping a woman well and relaxed  throughout the pregnancy can help facilitate  a happy pregnancy and a  positive birthing experience. She can help induce the baby if necessary once the due date has arrived.

Deb  wants  women to feel  well and positive at each stage of life,    from menarche to menopause and beyond. She works with women that have a   variety of problems, such as painful  periods, PMT, ovulation pain, irregular periods, scanty or heavy periods, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids,  post birth problems and menopausal symptoms.

With her first degree in Psychology, Deb has a particular interest in a persons’ emotional and mental wellbeing,  which is essential  to physical good health .  Whilst addressing difficult situations and stresses  in a persons life, and with a special interest in anxiety and panic attacks,   she also looks at key  emotions that people have to deal with  such as grief, fear, sadness , shame, anger and guilt . Her training in Five Element Acupuncture looks at the constitutional type of a person and  identifies the essential  organs, emotions and issues that are most likely to get out of balance in a person. By addressing  these components with needles,  and educating the person about their Element, many find they feel a deeper sense of  emotional  wellness and report feeling “ more myself “.

Acupuncture offers a drug free alternative to help  prevent illness and to  keep common diseases and complaints  of old age at bay. Deb focuses on keeping a person’s mind positive, and their body as mobile , productive and pain free as possible .  Acupuncture can help boost the immune system . It can help with  long standing  issues such as arthritis ,back problems, sleep issues and tiredness, diabetes, urinary problems, heart disease, high blood pressure , some degenerative diseases  and  the  side effects of drugs, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
